Police Station Advice and Representation

If you are about to be interviewed by the Police, it is essential that you are represented by an experienced lawyer who can provide you with clear advice and ensure that you are properly prepared. Should the Police wish to interview you, we will seek an appropriate level of disclosure of the case against you, and having taken your instructions will advise you whether it is appropriate to answer questions, simply provide a prepared statement, or exercise your right to silence. Our team of experienced solicitors represents the interests of persons in Police custody on a daily basis in Surrey, Hampshire, Berkshire and Sussex. We are ideally qualified to ensure that you receive practical, timely and expert advice, and have every protection afforded to you under the law, should you find yourself in such circumstances. This applies at any time of day or night, and this advice and representation is free of charge.

It is often at the police station where the most important decisions relating to criminal defence are made, which is why we are on-call to advise and assist 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.  The advice we give you will be independent and in total confidence.  At Taylor Street we are familiar with police procedures and your rights whilst being detained.  We can advise you on how to answer questions and whether to agree to, for example, providing samples or participating in identification procedures.
